Kids Rock Festival 2024 will be held at Mote Park, Mote Ave, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 7RN on Saturday 29th June 2024 from 12pm-6.30pm.

To reduce our carbon footprint, we want to encourage as many people to travel by public transport to the event where possible. Or even walk if you are within walking distance.

Maidstone bus station is just a short 20 minute walk to Mote Park and Arriva bus services are available to and from: Downswood, Sandhurst, Tunbridge Wells, Grove Green, Bearsted, Tenterden, Snodland, Leybourne Park, Kings Hill, Park Wood, Senacre Wood, Coxheath, Chatham and Gillingham. Please check the bus times on the Arriva website. 

Maidstone has 3 train stations, Maidstone East, West and Barracks. Maidstone East and Maidstone West are a 30 minute walk to Mote Park, and Maidstone Barracks is a 40 minute walk. 

If you are unable to arrive by public transport, the festival car park will be located in the field behind the Leisure Centre, please use the Leisure Centre entrance and exit and follow all signs. Car park tickets are just £2 plus booking fee. Please car share if you can. 

Disabled Access

Disabled parking is free. Please show your blue badge upon arrival. You will also be given fast-track entrance to the festival. 

Important Information

Pre book only. No tickets on the door. 

Doors open at 11am. 

The festival traders, bar and food traders will be accepting credit/debit card and cash payments. (No cashless wristband system this year). 

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. 

No adult is permitted without a child. 

Maximum of 3 adults to one child. 

Babies are welcome and free if under 18 months old. 

Push chairs left at own risk. 

Children under 16 require a child ticket, over 16 require an adult ticket. 

All adults must also have a ticket. 

Bubble machines and confetti cannons may be used. 

Music is kept at safe levels, but you are welcome to bring ear defenders as the music will be loud closer to the stage. 

The venue will be fully risk-assessed to meet health and safety guidelines. 

The venue has a bar for a responsible adult drink. 

Baby changing units will be provided. 

Expect a festival environment with festival lighting. 

You are welcome to bring a small lunch box of food for the children. 

No picnics. 

1 sealed bottle of water per person is allowed . 

Free drinking water will be available on site. 

You may bring fold up chairs and parasols- please only set these up in the designated areas and not directly in front of the stage. 

By attending, you give permission for Kids Rock to photograph and video the event for promotional purposes. If you see a photo you wish to remove, please contact us at info@kidsrockfestival.co.uk 

Tickets are non refundable unless the event is cancelled or postponed.

Where is the festival car park?

The festival car park is located behind Maidstone Leisure Centre. There will be event signage on the day, and parking stewards to guide you.

Will there be disabled parking?

Yes. Disabled parking is free. The festival car park is located behind Maidstone Leisure Centre. There will be event signage on the day, and parking stewards to guide you. Disabled customers will receive fast track entrance to the festival. 

Can I bring my own camping chairs and a portable parasol?

Yes, you are welcome to bring camping chairs and a portable parasol for shade as it may be very hot and sunny. If you do bring these, you must ensure they are securely weighted down as the venue may be windy. Chairs and parasols are also only permitted in the designated area in front of the stage. Please do not set these up in non designated areas. 

Can I bring my own food and drink?

You can bring one small lunch box per child, one sealed bottle of water per person and baby food. No picnics. There will be free drinking water available on site. We will also have some delicious food and drink stalls with vegan and vegetarian options and bars for soft drinks and a responsible adult drink.

Can I apply to volunteer at the festival?

Absolutely! If you are aged 18 or over and would love to gain experience with working at a family friendly music festival, please email info@kidsrockfestival.co.uk  for an application form. A current DBS/CRB check is preferred but not essential. 

Can I get tickets on the day?

Tickets are pre book only. There will be no tickets on the door.

Is the festival cashless?

No. All traders will be accepting cash and card payments this year.

Are there any sponsorship opportunities available?

Yes. There are many ad placements available, from the wristbands to large stage banners, eco friendly cups, website, social media, radio adverts, mentions in upcoming radio interviews, emails sent to customers, a stall at the festival, special thank you announcements on the day and more. We can create a package tailored to fit your needs and budget. Please email Rhu@kidsrockfestival.co.uk and Rhu will be more than happy to help. 

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry, only service dogs will be allowed into the festival.

Can I smoke on site?

Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area. This is because this is a family friendly event where everyone will have children with them. 

How much are the fun fair rides?

Fun fair rides are completley free 🙂

How do I apply to have a trade stand?

If you own a business and would like to have a trade stand, please email info@kidsrockfestival.co.uk for an application form.
